Difference between oil free and oiled air compressors

Difference between oil free and oiled air compressors

Air compressors are divided into oiled air compressors and oil free air compressors, but the fact is that oil free air compressors are usually not oil free, but also contain very little oil. So what is the difference between oil free air compressors and oiled air compressors?

The difference between oil free air compressor and oiled air compressor:

1、Different materials

The material of the oil free air compressor itself does not contain oily substances, avoiding the pollution of the terminal equipment by oily machines. The material of the oil compressor itself contains oily substances, which will pollute the terminal equipment.

2、Different service life

Oil free air compressor adopts heat-resistant piston, so that the bearing grease is no longer lost due to high temperature conduction and radiation, so that the life of oil free air compressor is greatly improved. Oil compressor does not have heat-resistant piston, the sealed grease is easy to lose, resulting in dry wear and bearing damage, short service life of the compressor.

3、Different working principles

Oil free air compressor running the whole process, there is no oil involved, whether it is oil free piston machine or oil free screw machine, in the operation process will produce a lot of high temperature. In the oil compressor, the oil participation will take away the high temperature generated in the compressor compression process, so that the machine cools down.

4, different gas discharge

The oiled air compressor is lubricated with resin material, and the final exhaust gas does not contain oil. Oiled air compressor is lubricated with oil, so the final exhaust gas contains oil.

Finally summarized, the difference between oil free air compressor and oil-filled air compressor can be roughly distinguished from its material, life, working principle, gas and other aspects.
